First stage

  • DS4 over-balanced diaphragm design — medium-pressure gas increases at a rate faster than ambient for improved performance at depth.
  • Two high-pressure (HP) ports and four medium-pressure (MP) ports, angled for optimal hose routing.
  • Environmental dry system keeps water, silt, and contamination out of the main spring chamber to reduce ice buildup.

Second stage

  • Pneumatically balanced for smooth, easy breathing.
  • Large XTX purge button with two-stage progressive purge: side press for low flow (useful for tasks like filling lift bags) and center press for full purge when clearing the regulator.
  • Large venturi lever with soft-touch rubber grip reduces grit ingress and ensures smooth operation.
  • Easy-to-grip opening-effort control knob lets the diver adjust inhalation resistance.
  • Molded parts contain an antimicrobial additive that helps protect against MRSA, E. coli, bacteria, fungi, viruses, mould, yeast, and algae.
  • Silicone exhaust valve improves breathing performance.
  • Comfo-bite mouthpiece reduces jaw fatigue.
  • Patented heat exchanger surrounds the valve mechanism to dissipate cold from gas expansion while drawing warmth from the surrounding water.
